We are seeking an inspiring and creative educator to join our Visual Arts department as a Visual Arts Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to inspire creativity, critical thinking and artistic expression in boys across Stage 3 to Stage 6. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering engaging and innovative Visual Arts programs that foster students' technical skills, creativity and appreciation of the visual arts. The successful applicant will join a collaborative and high-performing faculty that values excellence in teaching and learning and encourages students to explore, create and communicate through a variety of artistic mediums.
This is a Permanent Full-Time teaching position commencing 27 January 2027.
Job Description
The Visual Arts Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs across Stage 3 to Stage 6, creating engaging learning experiences that support students to achieve their academic and creative potential. Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Visual Arts Department and across the College, the successful applicant will contribute to curriculum development, assessment practices, student exhibitions and the broader co-curricular life of the College. The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to continuous professional growth and the ability to foster positive and productive learning environments.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
Qualifications and experience teaching Visual Arts.
Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.
Strong curriculum knowledge across Stage 3 to Stage 6 Visual Arts.
The ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities and interests.
A commitment to evidence-informed teaching practice and continuous improvement.
Exceptional communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build productive relationships with students, staff and families.
A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College.
Highly Desirable
Experience teaching Stage 6 Visual Arts.
Experience supporting students in practical and theoretical components of HSC Visual Arts.
Knowledge of contemporary art practices and emerging technologies in arts education.
