We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about engaging students in mathematical thinking through reasoning, communication, problem-solving and reflection. The successful applicant will foster curiosity, build confidence and support students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. They will be committed to helping students of all abilities achieve their potential while inspiring a genuine appreciation for Mathematics.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position commencing in Term 1, 2027.
Job Description
You will be committed to excellence as a classroom teacher, demonstrate strong collaboration within a faculty setting and be confident in effective pedagogy and classroom management.
With strong content knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum, you will be dedicated to delivering engaging learning experiences that maximise student achievement and foster a love of learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence within the Mathematics Faculty.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
Qualified to teach Mathematics (Stage 4–6) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.
Demonstrated ability to create positive and productive learning environments through effective classroom management.
Demonstrated success in differentiating curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate ICT into teaching, learning and assessment.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
